Do you only create instrumental music?

Yes. Until today. Unless we do a studio production for a customer. Instrumental music is global. Speaks to the heart directly. There is too much poor vocal music out. Time for a change. There were times when pop instrumentals were in the charts. Those days will come back as every movement creates it´s opposite.

how does writing for television film etc differs from writing a song?

Our songs always develop, come to us as if they had been written already. They only exist for themselves, for their own inner beauty. Working for pictures however is always a functional thing: Before you start writing you know how long the track has to be and what it´s function is for the film or the scene. Thats the frame in which you can be creative. Most of the tv - music we have made was created for a huge library. Although its generic stuff we had more freedom compared to scoring a certain film that has been cut already.

who does what musicaly between you two?

We try to do most of it together. Elisabeth takes care of all keyboard instruments, mixing, writing and sampling. Peter takes care of guitars, bass, rhythm programming, writing, recording. Except for our instruments we are able to swap jobs on the fly.

How long have you been playing together?

Since 1985

In your bio you credit the internet for a good part of your success How does it serve you best?

The web is great for promoting our music and finding new friends all over the world. We at times were very popular on mp3.com and even in the pop/rock top 40 in company of some of the big shots. Not that i want to pry into your private life but what do you do for fun beside music?

Peter Blue: I love steam trains and model railroads. But I have no time for that at the moment.
Elisabeth Star: I´m a Feng Shui expert and love to work with traditional chinese feng shui
What is the most difficult part of creating?

Creating is not difficult at all. It´s pure fun. The difficult part is marketing, presenting, selling cds.
