Please introduce yourself to our readers: My name is Claude Gagne and I created the Funk City concept and realised it. What is the concept of Funk City? Music for changes!where the listener is invited to participate in the betterment of his or her community. Let's get back to that later let's talk about the music How do you define Funk City musical style A cross between R&B and Funk with a touch of experimental In essence creating a new style of funk music What is the cd all about? It's an instrumental CD that takes you through the day of a mythical character named funkydude.From the moment he goes to work to when he goes to bed. The setting is some corporative megapolis of the future. Will you be going on tour? Absolutely not!And that ties in with the concept of music for changes To tour you need a big machine and your fans have to pay for it!When you have to pull in $100 or even more from your fans just so they can hear you.? Nah! That's not Funk City way of doing thing... Won't that impair your success? Maybe! But there's more at stake here... Funk City is out to prove that with today's technology. You need a new vision of what it means to be an artists. There are free downloads that are availble and more will be added Also not only you can buy the CD but Mp3 as well and you can buy single tracks too. So if you only like one or two tunes or you are low on bucks, you are not forced to buy the whole cd!! Just the one tune or more. As you can see Funk City will leave as much money in the pockets of the fans. I can think of more important thing to do with a $100. Instead of Buying a $100 ticket give $25 bucks to the food bank in your area. And why not get $50 in one dollars bills and pass them around to beggars around town then take the last $25 buy a couple a tracks of Fun City and some beers and listen to the funk and feel good about what you did... Won't most expert say it's not the way to success? Maybe! But then again they could be wrong! Funk City sells the singles track for 99 Cents each! That's a price anyone can afford! And if a million of people buy one track well that will prove they were wrong! They understood that back when they sold 45'S singles! But even then you were limited in choices from the album where as now Funk City sells all track as single And part of the profits will go to the local food bank here! There's freebies on the website what about those? There are a couple puzzles you can download and send to your friends! There's also a poster 8½ by11 inches Fans can print Why charge for a poster if they are willing to print it. Again they can use the money they save to give to their community And if they don't want to print it they can order it! What is your most challenging part of creating? In this case was creating a kind of a funk opera but with only music. Any early success? Rythm& Funk is getting lots of downloads and starting to catch the ears of of some radio stations in the USA England and Denmark so far Is there anything you would like to tell our readers? Do something in your community to make a change! Give to the food bank, do something to help the homeless! Make your money work for people instead than against them.
