How is the music scene in Austria for independant musicians?

It's sometimes very difficult for independent musicans, specially when they're not much known in Austria.

There is one saying here, if you want to be accepted and public in Austria, you have make your success in another Country as Austria. Many austrian artists have become famous IN AUSTRIA by this way...

You are located closer to Italy and Slovenia does that makes it harder since the proclaimed center of culture is Vienna ?

Thow Klagenfurt is located close to foreign Countries the culutre becomes interesting. Carinthia is a melting-pot of cultures.Klagenfurt is also located closer to Graz, which is the "European Culture Capital-City 2003".

Beside the computer do you play any instruments?

Classical and electric-Guitar, and a litle bit Bass.

In your list of influences you list mostly American musician was there not any European or Austrian influences?

Yes, Average White Band for instance, who are from Scotland... And the EAV, an austrian kabarett-band.

What attracted you to play funk music more than any other?

The rythm and the groove of funky music. Also the typical sound of funk music (funky base, funky guitar, ...). Funk simply blew my mind....

When not being a musician what interest Funky Flo?
